I'm an Emmy Award-winning children’s book author and a Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) fellow who came out with my first book, Billy is a Big Boy in 2000. Since then I have had seven books released worldwide. My last book, A Very Special Snowflake, was released in November 2008 by Cartwheel Books, part of Scholastic Publishing. Meet My Friend Todd Dakins
Todd is a highly acclaimed and sought-after Midwest artist. His sweet, huggable illustrations fill the pages of all of my books, from Billy is a Big Boy and Abigail is a Big Girl to A Very Special Snowflake.
Todd has also illustrated other children’s books, including Bedtime Party by Kama Einhorn, published by Cottonelle/Kimberly-Clark Worldwide, Inc., The Rainbow Bakery, a children’s cookbook published by Gold Medal Flour, and Bobbie and Minnie — We Can Do Anything, which have been distributed world-wide. He has also been a featured illustrator for Milwaukee Magazine.
